March 24th, 2008: BizTalk Services and SDK Update
The SDK and hosted services have been updated:
- Accept 3rd Party Managed Cards - You can use a Managed Card issued by a 3rd party Identity Provider within access control rules.
- X.509 Client Credentials- Services can use a X.509 certificate as a client credential when authenticating with the Identity Service.
- "REST" interface to manage access control rules– The Identity Service now supports REST protocol to manage access control rules.
- User Identity passed as a Claim– You can configure access rules such that the user's identity is included in the token.
- Extended Language Support – The Identity Service can now be used from other languages. We've included Java sample to illustrate this.
Dec 17, 2007: BizTalk Services and SDK Update
The SDK and hosted services have been updated:
- Federated HTTP Authentication - HTTP security for services exposed through the relay and hit with HTTP clients (the browser)
- Identity and Access Control Client Library - A client side C# library to create, modify and delete resources, operations and rules
- New Credential Support – You can now associate and use a Managed Card as a credential type
- Windows LiveID integration – Use your Windows LiveID to login to your BizTalk Identity Account
- Forgotten Password Recovery – you can now recover your BizTalk Identity password if you’ve forgotten it
- Improved Access Control UI – instead of deleting, you can now disable resources, operations and rules
Oct 4, 2007: BizTalk Services and SDK Update
The SDK and hosted services have been updated:
- The Identity Service can now be used to provide access control for external services.
- Access Control settings can now be applied to groups of users.
- We've introduced a new connection mode that supports full HTTP semantics from behind
a firewall or NAT.
- Improved connectivity with higher throughput, more robust hybrid support, and better
streaming support.
There are few known issues we're aware of and will fix before we release. They include:
- Providing additional application configuration settings for the relayBinding
- Adding richer information to the exception raised when authorization fails
- Fixing a few issues with the RssClient in the SDK
June 29, 2007: BizTalk Services and SDK Update
The SDK and hosted services have been updated. Changes
include:
- Access control is now enabled for the URI namespace managed by the BizTalk Services
Connectivity Service. For any URI or URI namespace, developers can now grant Listen
and Send access to authenticated users.
- SDK samples show how to use the new access control features.
May 2, 2007: BizTalk Services and SDK Update
The SDK has been updated:
- Samples showing how to use the new programmable Web features.
- Samples highlighting the publish and subscribe eventing and direct connection capabilities
of the BizTalk Connectivity Service.
The BizTalk Services Connectivity Service has also been updated. It now supports:
- Simple publish and subscribe eventing - Enables multiple clients to
subscribe to a service and receive notifications.
- Hybrid connection capabilities - After establishing a relayed connection, it switches
automatically to a direct, non-relayed connection, if possible.
